It is being held on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and Mississauga peoples. The importance of The Dish with One Spoon Covenant further characterizes our collective responsibility to each other and Mother Earth as we should take only what we need and leave enough for others and keep the dish clean.
The Wilmot Recreation Complex is a state of the art, multi-functional facility that serves as the recreational hub of Wilmot Township. There are many positive benefits of exercise such as trail walking/running. Just a couple of hours a week contributes toward higher self-esteem, better mood, mental alertness and an increased ability to learn. |
The lands for these trails were donated to the Township of Wilmot by the benefactors of the Schmidt Estate. |
